    Notizen:

    >Name Wichtermann, Johann Michael Emigration year 1873 Origin Hildrizhausen, BB Upper office Herrenberg Destination Zielland Amerika On may 23, 1873, "administrative registrar" (equiv. county clerk?) Mr Wolf from Kirchheimreported to the town council at Hildrizhausen on behalf of Katharina Weymuller, from Hochdorf (in Kirchheim county/borough?) that she was "allegedly pregnantby Johann Michael Wichtermann from there (Hildrizhausen) who had recently lefthis job with the baker Mayer in Esslingen. According to his own statements, Wichterman was a man of wealth, and it was feared that he would (dodge/escape) toAmerica, for which reason a suit of confiscation of property/wealth was considered before the upper (county?) court in Herrenberg. This report was forwarded bycouncilman Berner (?) on 5/24/1873 to the upper court with the side note: "...Rosine Rietheimer from Wendlingen in (county?) Esslingen has also come forward to Nebiger, saying that she was also pregnant by Wichterman..." On 6/3/1873l, theupper court at Herrenberg asked the "local royal court not to deliver Wichterman, against whom a civil suit was pending, his dismissal document (was he in custody, or just had his papers revoked?- unclear) until he had provided sufficient bail or provided a ["fully authorized person" - power of attorney?]. The RoyalWuertemmburgian Government of the Black Forest Region at Reutlingen had advised the upper court in an order on 5/30/1873 to "withhold the dismissal document for the moment and to notify the "administrative gistrar" Mr Wolf in Kirchheim in regards to his writing of 5/23/1873 of (wichtermann`s)intention to emigrate with the addition that, if a legal inhibitorium (injunction?) were not brought within 10 days, that the dismissal document would be handed over to Wichtermann. The latter (Wichtermann) was supposed to "make revelations/clarifications regarding the state of affairs" Apparently, Wichtermann withdrew from his responsibility to do so, since in response to a question posed by the upper court on 1/7/1874, whether the emigration had succeeded, the local council of Hildrizhausen responded on 1/8/1874 that "the Wichtermann in question is supposed to have traveled to America without identification, as is generally well known in the town." philadelphia1890directorywhi-wid.pdf Wichtermanbirthdayrecord.jpg >> INFORMATION RECEIVED FROM GUY FRICK III SEPT. 23, 2004
